Pope at Angelus: Be creative and clever in doing good always

Pope Francis calls on the faithful to use creativity, prudence, and even cleverness, in living out the Gospel in our daily lives, and to be generous in using the goods of this world for those who need them most, showing fraternal love and social fellowship.

Dear brothers and sisters, buongiorno!

Mass on the 25th Sunday in Ordinary Time

The Parish Church of the Annunciation, Ħal Balzan

L-amministratur li kellu r-raġel għani, li Ġesù jsemmi fil-parabbola fl-Evanġelju llum, kien jimxi b’mod diżonest. Xlewh li kien qed iberbaq il-ġid ta’ sidu, u jidher li din ma kinetx akkuża falza imma kien hemm verità f’din l-akkuża; fil-fatt, baqa’ jimxi b’mod diżonest sal-aħħar. Biex jgħatti xturu, beda jiftiehem ma’ min kellu jagħti xi ħaġa lis-sid – jissemmew iż-żejt u l-qamħ – biex jikteb inqas, u hekk iqarraq hemm ukoll… Read more »

Mass on the 25th Sunday in Ordinary Time

The Chapel of St Mary, Bir Miftuħ, Gudja

L-omelija tal-Arċisqof Charles Jude Scicluna

Ġesù jpoġġilna għażla diffiċli llum quddiemna: il-flus jew hu. Diffiċli ħafna anke għax aħna nifhmu li l-flus għandna bżonnhom. Imma li taħli ħajtek – ħa nuża din il-frażi ‘taħli ħajtek’ – li tiġri wara l-flus, mingħajr ma tgawdiha, hi bluha kbira. Għax donnu taħseb li l-ħajja mhu se tispiċċa qatt, ma jasal qatt il-mument meta trid tagħti kont tal-amministrazzjoni tiegħek… Read more »
