Jesus as a source of light – The Archbishop

Mass for the memorial of St Thomas Aquinas

The Chapel of Our Lady of Manresa at the Archbishop's Curia, Floriana

L-omelija tal-Arċisqof Charles Jude Scicluna

Wieħed mis-sinjali ta’ San Tumas d’Aquino hija li fuq is-sider tiegħu jkun hemm qisha bħal xemx tiddi ħafna. Ħafna drabi l-qaddisin nagħrfuhom b’xi sinjal li f’kull, biex ngħidu hekk, rappreżentazzjoni tagħhom, ikun preżenti biex jiddistingwihom minn qaddis ieħor.

San Tumas kien verament dawl u Ġesù fl-Evanġelju jitkellem fuq il-musbieħ li jitpoġġa mhux taħt is-sodda biex jinħeba imma fuq l-imnara (Mk 4:21)… Read more »

His remarks came on International Holocaust Remembrance Day, which occurs each year on the anniversary of the liberation of Auschwitz-Birkenau – the largest Nazi concentration and death camp – by the Soviet Red Army during the Second World War… Read more »

Pope at Audience: The Bible, the place where God meets man

Dear brothers and sisters, good morning!

Today I would like to focus on the prayer we can do beginning with a Bible passage. The words of the Sacred Scripture were not written to remain imprisoned on papyrus, parchment, or paper, but to be received by a person who prays, making them blossom in his or her heart. The Word of God goes to the heart… Read more »

Lambs among wolves – Bishop Galea-Curmi

Mass for the memorial of St Timothy and St Titus

The Chapel of Our Lady of Manresa at the Archbishop's Curia, Floriana

L-omelija tal-Isqof Joseph Galea-Curmi

“Ħrief qalb l-ilpup”. Dan hu l-kliem li juża Ġesù fl-Evanġelju llum biex ifisser il-mod kif id-dixxipli tiegħu jaqdu l-missjoni tagħhom. Hawnhekk jibgħat it-72 dixxiplu biex imorru tnejn tnejn f’kull belt u post fejn kien sejjer hu, u jgħidilhom li qed jibgħathom bħal “ħrief qalb l-ilpup”.

L-ewwel ħaġa fl-Evanġelju li jinsisti fuqha, u li hi tant importanti, hi l-ħtieġa tat-talb… Read more »
