The Lord is the light that leads us in the dark – Bishop Galea-Curmi

Special Mass transmitted live

The Church of the Annuciation, Ħal Balzan

L-Omelija tal-Isqof Awżiljarju Joseph Galea-Curmi

F’din l-istorja twila tal-fejqan ta’ wieħed għama mit-twelid, żgur li ninnutaw kif mill-istorja kollha, hemm ftit versi biss li juruna l-miraklu li għamel Ġesù – meta għamel ftit tajn, għamlu ma’ għajnejn l-għama u qallu biex jinħasel, u mbagħad ġie jara. Il-bqija tal-istorja qisha investigazzjoni ta’ dan l-għama.

Hemm ħaġa partikulari li żgur ninnutaw f’din l-istorja kollha: hemm bidla li sseħħ f’dan li kien għama… Read more »

In the valley of death God is our light – The Archbishop

Special Mass transmitted live

The Church of St Francis, Ħamrun

L-omelija tal-Arċisqof Charles J. Scicluna

L-Evanġelju li għadna kemm smajna, wieħed mis-sinjali li jagħtina l-Evanġelju skont San Ġwann, kien jinqara sa mill-bidu lill-katekumeni, dawk li kienu għażlu li jsiru Nsara u kienu qed iħejju ruħhom biex jitgħammdu fl-Għid Imqaddes.

L-għażla ta’ dan ir-rakkont hija ovvja. Il-Mulej jiltaqa’ ma’ raġel li kien għama mit-twelid u jagħtih id-dawl. Jagħtih id-dawl fiżiku, il-kapaċità li jara, imma wkoll iżejnu bid-don tal-fidi… Read more »

God have mercy on me a sinner – Bishop Galea-Curmi

Special Mass dedicated to the health workers

The Chapel of Our Lady of Manresa, Archbishop's Curia, Floriana

L-Omelija tal-Isqof Awżiljarju Joseph Galea-Curmi

Għandna din l-istorja ta’ tnejn min-nies, il-fariżew u l-pubblikan, li t-tnejn kienu nies li jemmnu. It-tnejn kienu jemmnu f’Alla u għalhekk marru t-tempju. Imma Ġesù, meta jgħid din l-istorja u jqabbel it-tnejn, jurina l-attitudni differenti fit-talb u fil-qalb ta’ dawn it-tnejn.

Il-fariżew fit-tempju jirringrazzja lil Alla – imma ħlief l-ewwel kelma, ma jirringrazzjax lil Alla għall-ġid li għamel miegħu, ma jersaqx lejh bi gratitudni… Read more »
