Thomas, called Didymus, one of the Twelve, was not with them when Jesus came. So the other disciples said to him, “We have seen the Lord.” But he said to them, “Unless I see the mark of the nails in his hands and put my finger into the nailmarks and put my hand into his side, I will not believe.”

Now a week later his disciples were again inside and Thomas was with them… Read more »

L-omelija tal-Arċisqof Charles Jude Scicluna

“Agħmel il-qalb, ibni, dnubietek maħfura” (Mt 9:2). Kemm huma kliem tassew sbieħ dan li jgħid Ġesù lil dan ir-raġel mifluġ li ġie ppreżentat quddiemu mixħut fuq friex imwassal hemmhekk minn sħabu. Kif ra l-fidi tagħhom, Ġesù jgħidlu: “Agħmel il-qalb, ibni, dnubietek maħfura”.

L-omelija tal-Isqof Awżiljarju Joseph Galea-Curmi

“Bdew jitolbuh ħafna biex jibqa’ sejjer ’il barra minn pajjiżhom.” Din kienet ir-reazzjoni tan-nies – kif rajna fl-Evanġelju, tal-“belt bi ħġarha” – għal dak li kien għamel Ġesù. Qabadhom il-biża’, u riedu li jitlaq. Flok semgħuh biex jistgħu jagħrfuh u japprezzawh, qalulu jitlaq ’il barra minn pajjiżhom.

Nazju Falzon, li tiegħu qegħdin nagħmlu llum it-tifkira, kien bniedem li mhux biss għaraf u apprezza lil Ġesù, imma ried li nies oħra isiru jafuh u japprezzawh… Read more »
