‘Media Literacy Education’ Seminar

Il-Ġimgħa 16 ta’ Jannar 2015, is-Segretarjat għall-Komunikazzjoni Soċjali u s-Segretarjat għall-Edukazzjoni Nisranija organizzaw seminar dwar ‘Media Literacy Education’. Għal dan is-seminar, li sar ġewwa l-Orataorju San Domenico Savio MSSP f’Birkirkara, kienu mistiedna numru ta’ għalliema li jgħallmu s-suġġetti tal-Media Literacy Education (MLE) u l-PSCD (Personal, Social and Career Development). Flimkien magħhom attendew ukoll Kap tad-Dipartimenti Edukattivi, Uffiċċjali fl-Edukazzjoni, Kapijiet tal-Iskejjel u persuni oħra kemm mill-iskejjel tal-Knisja kif ukoll minn dawk tal-Istat…

Early this morning the Holy Father travelled by car from the apostolic nunciature of Colombo to the airport, where he departed for Manila, capital of the Philippines. During the journey he stopped to visit the Benedict XVI Cultural Institute where he was received by Fr. Mahamale Quintus Fernando, rector of the Institute, and two hundred workers who had collaborated in building the centre in 2011…

Jesuit Father Louis Jerome is currently in Sri Lanka reporting on the first leg of the Apostolic journey of Pope Francis to Asia which takes him to this island nation and then on to the Philippines on Thursday 15th of January.
At the end of the second day of this visit on January 14th, Father Jerome asked his fellow Jesuit Father Federico Lombardi who heads the Vatican Press Office to highlight some of the events of the Pope’s second day there…

Pope Francis arrived in Colombo, Sri Lanka, on Tuesday morning, at the beginning of a week-long visit to Asia that will see him in both Sri Lanka and the Philippines. The Holy Father arrived to pomp and circumstance: traditional dancers, a children’s choir performing an especially composed hymn to mark the visit, as well as the execution of the anthems of the Holy See and Sri Lanka by the military band, along with a 21-gun salute…

It-tema għal-live-in ta’ din is-sena hi l-Quddiesa tal-Ħadd u l-bini tal-komunità Nisranija. Flimkien mal-kappillani qed jattendu għal dan il-live-in, l-Isqof Charles J. Scicluna, Amministratur Appostoliku, u l-Isqof ta’ Għawdex Mario Grech.
