Archbishop meets with various groups and commissions in Ħamrun

During the Archbishop’s Pastoral Visit in the Immaculate Conception Parish in Ħamrun, the Archbishop Paul Cremona O.P. met with various groups and commissions, namely:

On Wednesday 13th March 2013, Cardinal Jorge Mario Bergoglio, S.J., was elected as Supreme Pontiff, the 265th successor of Peter, and has chosen the name Francis.

White smoke billowing from the Sistine Chapel chimney has announced to the world that cardinals gathered inside have elected a new Pope to head the Catholic Church.

Crowds in St Peter’s Square cheered and bells rang out as the smoke appeared.

Conclave in Sistine Chapel

This morning at 7:45am, the cardinals electing the Pope left the Domus Sanctae Marthae and moved to the Pauline Chapel where they celebrated Mass from 8:15am until 9:15am. At 9:30am they entered the Sistine Chapel and, after praying the Liturgy of the Hours, proceeded with the two morning scrutinies. Oħloq Tbissima Marathon collects €202,942 in 2012

Through the Oħloq Tbissima Marathon which was held between the 3rd and 5th August 2012, the total sum of €202,942.11 was collected.

The money collected has been distributed to the respective missionaries in the care of the Missionary Society of St. Paul (MSSP) in Peru, Pakistan, the Philippines and also locally, as well as to create missionary awareness.
