EUROPEAN CATHOLICS, ORTHODOX URGE ACTIVE CHURCH ROLE IN ETHICAL DEBATES

European Catholic and Orthodox representatives praised a growing awareness of religious rights on their continent and urged governments to allow churches a more active role in ethical debates. ARCHBISHOP MEETS TA’ MLIT PARISHIONERS

On Saturday, 23rd October, 2010, Archbishop Paul Cremona O.P. met the Sisters of the Good Shepherd in Mosta. Later on Archbishop Cremona celebrated Mass at ta’ Mlit Church, and afterwards met parishioners and pastoral groups active in this area at the Pastoral Centre.

THE ARCHBISHOP VISITS MOSTA PRIMARY SCHOOL ‘A’

On Wednesday, 20th October, 2010, Archbishop Paul Cremona O.P. visited Mosta Primary School ‘A’. During his visit Archbishop Cremona did not only meet the administrative staff but also parents of the students who attend in this school. During a meeting between the Archbishop and the parents, both sides exchanged experiences.

ARCHBISHOP CONTINUES HIS PASTORAL VISIT IN MOSTA

On Tuesday 19th and Wednesday 20th October, 2010, Archbishop Paul Cremona O.P. met the Augustinian Sisters’ Community, visited the Sacred Heart of Jesus Catechetical Centre in Mosta, met the Liturgical Commission followed by another meeting with the Commission for the Family. On the following day, Thursday, 21st October, he visited the Catechism Centre of Saint Margaret and also the Catechism Centre (MUSEUM) for boys followed by a meeting with the Parish Pastoral Council, Commission for the Implementation of the Synod and the Parish Economic Council of Mosta Parish… Read more »

PONTIFF ANNOUNCES NEW EVANGELIZATION SYNOD FOR 2012

Benedict XVI announced today the theme for the next general assembly of the Synod of Bishops: The new evangelization. The Pope made the announcement today at the closing Mass of the Special Assembly for the Middle East of the Synod of Bishops, and repeated it before praying the Angelus at midday with those gathered in St. Peter’s Square.

The next Ordinary General Assembly of the Synod of Bishops will be held in 2012, and will be dedicated to the theme “The New Evangelization for the Transmission of the Christian Faith,” the Pontiff said… Read more »
