As part of the Cana Movement project Zwieg B’sahhtu, a talk will be organized on 11th January 2012 by Dr Rose Falzon on the emotional and cognitive intimacy of the married couple. Dr Falzon will highlight the importance of attending to the awareness of the self and the other, nurturing basic relationship qualities, developing and maintaining a healthy relationship, resolving conflict and adopting a positive approach.
Dr Falzon is a counselor, psychotherapist and counseling supervisor. She currently works as a supervisor in consultancy with diverse practitioners at the Directorate for Students Services, has her own psychotherapeutic and supervision practice, is a supervisor to trainee Masters in counseling students and gives her professional services at Cana movement. These talks, which are aimed particularly as a means of on-going formation for the leading couples of the Cana Marriage Preparation Course, are a synopsis of the topics that are being offered over a two-year period at a more profound level as Seminars/Courses by the Institute of Pastoral Formation.
The general public is cordially invited to attend this talk which will be held at Sala San Pawl, Catholic Institute, Floriana, at 7.00pm. Zwieg B’Sahhtu was launched by the Cana Movement in October 2008, the aim of which is to create greater awareness among the general public on the necessity for strengthening marriage and the family, through the presentation of different topics and aspects of family life.
