Wednesday June 27 – young volunteers will give a start to their summer experiences with a celebration at St Gregory’s Medieval Chapel in Żejtun. Archbishop Paul Cremona O.P. will symbolically give his mandate to the young people, on behalf of the Church in Malta.

Around 300 volunteers will spend between two weeks and two months of their summer holidays at the service of people in need. Their experiences will take them around the world, from India to Africa, to Latin America and Europe, and will also include projects in Malta.

This year’s edition of the Volunteers’ Send-Off is being hosted by summer camp organizers Viva s-Sajf tat-Tfal with the co-ordination of the Youth Commission within the Church. More details on http://bit.ly/SendOff2012.
