On Friday October 8th, Archbishop Paul Cremona will be welcoming back the hundreds of young volunteers who spent their summer holidays with the underprivildged. The volunteers took part in projects in Malta and in other countries as distant as Ethiopia, India and Peru, freely committing themselves to marginalised communities and individuals.

In the homecoming celebration the young people will share their experiences and reflections with the Archbishop who will, in turn, present each of them with a commemorative token. This occasion follows the sending off held in June, when the Archbishop gave the mandate to the volunteers just before they began their respective missions.

This edition of Volunteer’s Night, hosted by the Society for Christian Doctine (MUSEUM), takes its inspiration from the Letter to the Corinthians: “You are the body of Christ” (1 Cor 12:27). The evening, starting at 19:30 at the University Chaplaincy, includes presentations, sharing and time for prayer; refreshments will be served afterwards.
