In preparation for the Lenten season, the students of St. Augustine College took part in a beautiful initiative where they had the opportunity to participate, engage with the public, and offer a moment of hope to others.
The students wrote various messages of hope, which were designed and printed as different bookmarks. On Ash Wednesday, they distributed them to people they met during a pilgrimage-style walk to Floriana and Valletta.
Afterward, everyone gathered at the Church of the Augustinian Fathers, St. Augustine, where, together with the priests living in that community, they took part in a moment of adoration and the imposition of ashes.
Back at school, the students had the opportunity to share their morning experience with their peers.
