After several months of spiritual preparation, seven adult Catholics received the Sacrament of Confirmation during a Mass at the Parish Church of Our Lady of the Annunciation in Ħal Balzan. His Lordship, Bishop Joseph Galea-Curmi, administered the sacrament.
The newly confirmed, hailing from Malta, Indonesia, Italy, and Colombia, had not previously received the Sacrament of Confirmation for various reasons. To prepare for this important step in their faith journey, they underwent catechesis and spiritual formation through the Christian Initiation of Adults Ministry of the Archdiocese of Malta.
Established in 2021, this ministry prepares adults through catechetical formation and liturgical celebrations to help them receive the sacraments of Baptism, Confirmation and the Eucharist.
