The Trappist Bishop Erik Varden, OCSO, will deliver a public talk entitled Living by Hope in a Time of Crisis on Wednesday, 29 October 2025, at 7pm at the MUSEUM Auditorium, Blata l-Bajda.
Bishop Varden, a member of the Cistercian Order of the Strict Observance and author of several spiritual books, previously served as Abbot of Mount St Bernard Abbey in England before being consecrated bishop of Trondheim in Norway.
He will be in Malta during the last week of October to lead a retreat for the clergy, and this public talk will offer an opportunity to hear his reflections on such a relevant theme.
