All the activities in relation to the Pope’s visit came to a close with a thanksgiving mass which was celebrated at Saint Sebastian’s Crypt, Qormi. Many volunteers were present to see the closing of this memorable experience. The activities were summarized beautifully by Fr Savio in his homily where he said that the climax was not only the Pope’s visit but the unity of all youth at the Waterfront. For many this culmination was a boost of faith. Personally, this experience has been a reaffirmation that youths do care and are active! Mass was the end of a chapter but another chapter is being opened… that of the next World Youth Day which many are waiting for!
