Archbishop Paul Cremona O.P. has appointed Fr Gordon Refalo as the new parish priest of Luqa (St. Andrew).
Fr Gordon was born in Sliema in 1961. He received his education at the Sisters of St Joseph and at St Aloysius College, Birkirkara. In 1984 he entered the Archbishop’s Seminary and was ordained to the priesthood in 1991.
Fr Gordon was first appointed assistant parish priest of Hamrun (St Gajetan) and served in Naxxar parish. He was also parish priest in Santa Luċija, Ibrag and Swatar where he has been serving for the last seven years. He is also a spiritual director of St. Martin’s College in Swatar. Fr Gordon is the president of the College of Parish Priests.
The number of parishioners in Luqa is around 5,600 gathered in 1,500 families.
