Archbishop Paul Cremona O.P. has appointed Fr Nicholas Pace archpriest of St. Catherine’s parish in Żejtun.
Born on 1st December 1961, Fr Nicholas received his education at the Siġġiewi primary school, at St. Augustine College in Pieta, and at Stella Maris College (6th Form) in Gżira. He continued his tertiary education at the Faculty of Theology (Philosophy & Theology), University of Malta.
Fr Nicholas Pace was ordained to the priesthood on 8th July 1988 and was appointed vice parish priest at St Joseph the Worker parish in Birkirkara, and later at Our Lady of Grace parish in Żabbar. In 1995 he was appointed parish priest of Ħal Safi and five years later parish priest of St Peter in Chains parish, Birżebbuġa, where he has been serving since.
Żejtun is a parish of 11,161 parishioners comprising 3,902 families.
