Archbishop Paul Cremona has appointed Fr Reuben Micallef archpriest of the Immaculate Conception parish in Cospicua.

Born on the 29th July 1977, Fr Reuben was raised in the parish of Our Lady of Lourdes, Paola.  He was educated at the Immaculate Conception primary school in Tarxien, at De La Salle College, and at G.F. Abela Junior College in Msida.  He continued his tertiary education at the Faculty of Theology (Philosophy & Theology), University of Malta.

He was ordained to the priesthood on the 21st July 2005 and appointed vice parish priest at Christ the King parish in Paola, and later parish priest of Mtarfa where he has been serving since 2008.

Cospicua is a parish of about 5,700 parishioners comprising 1,600 families.
