On Saturday 28 April 2012, Archbishop Paul Cremona O.P. will institute two seminarians as lectors. The ceremony will be held during a Mass at Saint Pius X Parish Church in Santa Lucija, at 6.30 p.m. The two seminarians, who are currently in their fifth year of formation are Luke Cutajar from St Paul’s Parish of Rabat, and Brian Gialanzè from the Parish of St Peter in Chains, Birżebbuġa.
The Ministry of Lectorate marks another step in the priestly formation of the seminarians. As Lectors they are officially entrusted with the proclamation of God’s Word during the liturgy, endeavor to help the faithful receive the sacraments worthily and share the message of salvation with their fellow brothers and sisters, especially those who have not yet experienced it.
The Seminary community is asking you to pray for more vocations so that the Lord may bless all seminarians to be faithful shepherds according to God’s heart.
