On Thursday 14 May 2015, Archbishop Charles J. Scicluna will institue three seminarians as Lectors, during Mass at the Parish Church of the Holy Family, Iklin, at 7.00 p.m.
The three seminarians, who are in their fifth year of formation at the Archbishop’s Seminary, are Sinclair Bugeja from the Parish of the Holy Family, Iklin, Ryan Lee Pace from the Parish of Our Lady of Mount Carmel, Gżira, and Mark Spiteri from the Parish of Saint Philip of Agira, Ħaż-Żebbuġ.
The Ministry of Lectorate marks another step in the priestly formation of the seminarians. As Lectors they are officially entrusted with the proclamation of God’s Word during the liturgy, endeavour to help the faithful receive the sacraments worthily and share the message of salvation with their fellow brothers and sisters, especially those who have not yet experienced it.
The Seminary Community encourages the faithful to pray for more vocations and that the Lord may bless all seminarians, especially these three young men, to be faithful shepherds according to God’s heart.
