On Sunday, 17th January 2010, Archbishop Paul Cremona OP celebrated Mass for couples who will be getting married this year (2010). More than 300 couples attended the ceremony, which was held at the Capuchin Church in Floriana. The couples present have completed the Cana Movement marriage preparation course. The Archbishop expressed his satistaction at such a turnout. Jokingly, he added that next time, a larger Church will be necessary in order to accommodate all couples. In his message, the Archbishop enthusiastically said that the couples getting married this year are agents who can help promote a mentality in favour of marriage. He concluded that since they have heeded God’s call to seal their marriage with the sacrament, since they believe in it, they are duty bound to show that marriage builds strong families for the good of the country.
