Għaqda Studenti tat-Teoloġija is organizing a Lectio Divina next Saturday, 19th February 2011, at 7:30 p.m. at the Carmelites’ Priory in Mdina. It will be conducted by Rev Fr. Martin Micallef OFM Cap in Maltese. Everyone is welcome to attend.
The exercise of the Lectio Divina is the reflection and contemplation of the will of God for you through the Sacred Scriptures. Lectio Divina actually means re ading the Word of God. However this exercise is not simply reading the Bible. It means that a text from the Bible is read, meditated upon, prayed upon and contemplated, in such a way that it touches the heart of the person and changes him/her such that he/she becomes one with the will of God.
