Benedict XVI will be praying this month for transparent elections, as well as the promotion of peace, especially in the world’s cities.
The Apostleship of Prayer announced the intentions chosen by the Pope for July. His general prayer intention is: “That in every nation of the world the election of officials may be carried out with justice, transparency and honesty, respecting the free decisions of citizens.”
The Holy Father also chooses an apostolic intention for each month. In July he will pray: “That Christians may strive to offer everywhere, but especially in great urban centers, an effective contribution to the promotion of education, justice, solidarity and peace.”
