The Interdiocesan Environment Commission is holding an Interfaith Celebration of Creation, on 20th September 2024 at 19:30. The venue is the parvis outside (weather permitting) or inside the Church of St Mary of the Angels at Baħar iċ-Ċagħaq

The environment-oriented multi-faith event aims to foster celebration and stewardship of the environment, an attitude that cuts across all major faiths and so a point of unity and collaboration among them. This event will mark the “Season of Creation”, an annual celebration of prayer and action to respect and protect creation, celebrated by Christians around the world. It runs from September 1, the World Day of Prayer for the Care of Creation, to October 4, the Feast of St. Francis of Assisi. Francis is loved for his respect for the natural environment, and he stands for respect for other faiths.

Speakers from various faiths will each make a brief presentation celebrating environmental stewardship and responsibility, a presentation inspired by their own faith tradition.
