The Archdiocese of Malta wishes to inform that fraudulent emails are being circulated in the name of Archbishop Charles Scicluna in an attempt to deceive recipients into sending money or sharing personal information.
The Archdiocese wishes to make it clear that the Archbishop never makes requests for financial assistance, donations, or personal details via email or any form of messaging.
Members of the public are advised not to reply to such messages, nor to click on links or attachments contained within them. It is important to note that various versions or formats of these scam emails exist.
Anyone who receives an email claiming to be from “Monsinjur Charles Jude Scicluna” or a similar variation is urged to ignore the message and report it.
The Archdiocese has reported this matter to the relevant authorities and urges members of the public to do likewise.
