• On Thursday, 19th May 2016, at 6:30 p.m., an Ecumenical Service is being held during the Pentecost period at St Roche church, St Ursula Street, Valletta (near St Ursula Monastery). Pentecost is the feast not only of the birth of Christianity, but also of the shift from plurality to unity: many united in one body.

The theme for the Ecumenical Service is: “From his heart shall flow streams of living water” (John 7, 38).  Reverend Fr Ionut Iftimia (Romanian Orthodox) will preside over this service and reflections on the occasion will be given by Rev. Pastor Klaus Reiser (Evangelical Lutheran). The Ecumenical Service is being organised by ‘Christians Together in Malta’ by the Malta Ecumenical Council in collaboration with the Diocesan Ecumenical Commission. Everyone is invited to attend.
During this time of renewal, the Church continuously encourages prayer for unity between Christian Churches.
