Meeting his Holiness was by far one of the greatest experiences of my life. I was one of the ten fortunate youths who were given the opportunity to spend 20 minutes with Pope Benedict XVI for the duration of his voyage on the catamaran during his visit to the Maltese Island in April 2010. Such an experience taught me that whatever your life style is, you must never feel superior to anyone. The Pope’s humility was one of his characteristics that struck me most. Seeing the Pope inviting me to move closer was one of the most moving moments. His face clearly depicted his joy for the great welcome all youths were giving him on the Waterfront. A word which could define such an experience is ‘amazing.’
