On Wednesday 23rd December 2009, Archbishop Paul Cremona OP, Bishop Annetto Depasquale, and Archbishop Emeritus Joseph Mercieca exchanged their Christmas greetings with all Curia employees and collaborators. Likewise Mgr. Laurence Gatt also delivered a few words of greetings on behalf of all those present. In his message, Archbishop Paul Cremona wanted to remind everyone who worked in the Curia and in other Church institutions that the main aim is to put others first, a trait which he said, is to distinguish all those who work in a Church entity. The Archbishop said that as from next year he will make it a point to dedicate time in his schedule to personally meet all Curia employees, in order to foster a sense of community.
During the Christmas and New Year feasts, the Curia offices in Floriana, including the marriages office, and the administration section, as well as the offices of the Ecclesiastical Tribunal in Valletta will be closed, from Thursday 24th December, and will reopening on Monday 4th January, 2010.
