550 people will attend the Caritas Christmas lunch

The Christmas Dinner back at the Archbishop's Curia

Fil‑Kurja tal‑Arċisqof fil‑Furjana bħalissa għaddejjin l‑aħħar preparamenti għall‑ikla annwali tal‑Milied sabiex f’nhar il‑Milied tilqa’ madwar 550 persuna li għaddejjin minn sitwazzjonijiet diffiċli jew kienu se jqattgħu l‑Milied weħidhom. Patriarch Bartholomew I to make historic visit to Malta

His All-Holiness Bartholomew I, Archbishop of Constantinople and New Rome and Ecumenical Patriarch, will make a historic visit to Malta next week during which he will meet refugees as well as the sizeable Orthodox Christian community on the island.

More than 1,800 vacant places for students in Church Schools

The Admission Regulations for Church Schools in Malta for the scholastic year 2023-2024 have been published on the website of the Archdiocese of Malta. The Admission Regulations for Church Schools in Gozo for the scholastic year 2023-2024 will be online by the 25th November 2022.

The last two Tapestries return to Malta after restoration

On Monday 14 November 2022, two unique tapestries woven on the cartoons of world-renowned artist Peter Paul Rubens returned to Malta following restoration in Belgium. The two tapestries, forming part of a set of twenty-nine, were the last two tapestries sent for restoration in 2017. They depict the Annunciation and the Four Evangelists. Era should have veto on Planning matters

Statement by the Interdiocesan Commission for the Environment for World Town Planning Day 2022

The Interdiocesan Commission for the Environment calls on the authorities to provide the Environment and Resources Authority (ERA) with a veto on development applications and planning policies that have a significant bearing on the quality of life.

The Commission believes this veto power also be extended to the proposed Authority responsible for Agricultural Land in matters relating to agricultural land.

A new Caritas Community Centre described by Archbishop Charles Scicluna as “a beautiful statement of hope” was officially opened by Prime Minister Robert Abela and Mgr Scicluna yesterday following a €5 million investment.
