In a message sent to participants of the Medjugorje International Youth Festival on Thursday, Pope Francis urged young people to open their hearts to the will of God.

The conservation and restoration of two large paintings located in the apse of the Parish Church of St Gregory the Great in Tas-Sliema have been completed. The restoration work, amounting to €110,000 with 80% co-financing from European Union funds, was inaugurated by Bishop Joseph Galea-Curmi and Parliamentary Secretary Chris Bonett. Bishop Emeritus Mgr Paul Darmanin O.F.M. Cap. passed away last night at the age of 82.
In 1984, Mgr Darmanin was ordained the first bishop of the Diocese of Garissa in Kenya. He led this diocese up to 2015, after which he retired in Malta where he lived in the Convent of the Capuchin Friars in Floriana. Read more »
