Ż.A.K. MOSTA ORGANISE CATHECETICAL WALK WITH CROSS AND ICON

On Wednesday, 14th February 2010, Ż.A.K. Mosta organised a catechetical event as part of the celebrations for Pope Benedict XVI’s visit to Malta. This was organised by Ż.A.K. youths. The celebration started off with the Cross and Icon being taken from the Millenium Chapel in Paceville, to the Mosta Parish Church. TEN WAYS TO PROMOTE VOCATIONS

In honor of National Vocation Awareness Week, the U.S. bishops’ conference is offering a list of 10 ways to promote religious vocations. Father David Toups, interim director of the conference’s Office of Clergy, Consecrated Life and Vocations, prepared the list that was publicized today.  Among the suggestions are prayer, asking God in particular to send more priests and religious to the Church, and speaking to others about vocations… Read more »

BENEDICT XVI TO SPEAK TO NON-BELIEVERS IN PORTUGAL

Meeting in Fatima on Tuesday, Portuguese bishops said that during Benedict XVI’s visit to Portugal this May 11-14, the Pope will speak to everyone, whether or not they are believers.

“The Pope will speak to all,” said Father Manuel Morujao, spokesman and secretary of the Portuguese episcopal conference.  “The Church does not close the door to anyone and opens her heart to all.”

During a press conference at the end of the meeting of the bishops’ Permanent Council, Father Morujao also said that at the council’s next meeting, a pastoral note on the Pope’s visit will be released… Read more »
