Fid-19 ta’ Ġunju – festa tal-Qalb ta’ Ġesù – bdiet sena dedikata lis-saċerdoti skont ix-xewqa tal-Papa Benedittu XVI. Dan il-Papa għamlu fl-okkażjoni tal-150 anniversarju mill-mewt ta’ San Ġwann Marija Vianney li hu magħruf bħala l-Kurat t’Ars. Il-Papa jrid jagħti lis-saċerdoti importanza speċjali matul din is-sena u jrid juri lis-saċerdoti kemm iħobbhom u jixtieq jgħinhom biex jgħixu s-sejħa u l-missjoni tagħhom b’ferħ u entużjazmu.

St. Thérèse in UK Attracting Thousands

LONDON, SEPT. 28, 2009 (Zenit.org). The bishops’ of England and Wales estimate some 68,700 people visited the relics of St. Thérèse during the first 10 days of the tour of her relics.

The relics of St. Thérèse of Lisieux will be visiting the United Kingdom through Oct. 16. They arrived Sept. 16. The relics have gone through some 40 countries… Read more »

Pope Benedict XVI might visit Malta in April

Following the invitation in previous months by the Bishops of Malta and the President of the Republic, to His Holiness Pope Benedict XVI to visit Malta, Dr Alberto Gasbarri will be visiting Malta in October to explore this possibility. Seven new seminarians and a new website for the Archbishop’s Seminary

Earlier this week, seven young men started out on the period of formation for the Diocesan Priesthood at the Archbishop’s Seminary in Rabat. These join the other 30 young people who are already undergoing formation towards priestly ordination in its several phases at the institution.

Within this new group of seminarians, two belong to St Sebastian’s parish, Qormi, two come from Mosta whilst three hail from Dingli, Naxxar and Kalkara, their average age being 21 years… Read more »

Divorce, cohabitation ruin the lives of many children – Benedict XVI

Pope to visit Fatima shrine in Portugal next May

VATICAN CITY (CNS) — Pope Benedict XVI plans to visit the shrine of Our Lady of Fatima in Portugal next May, Portuguese bishops announced. The pope will preside over ceremonies May 13, the date of the first apparition of Mary to three shepherd children in 1917.
