The Commission of the Bishops’ Conferences of the European Union (COMECE) issued a statement titled “A European Call for Responsibility – Ethical Demands for a Human-Centric Artificial Intelligence,” on Friday, 2 February 2024, welcoming the recent adoption of the EU regulation on Artificial Intelligence (AI). In his final official visit to Dar tal-Providenza, President of Malta, George Vella, expressed his heartfelt satisfaction with the care provided to the residents of the facility.

27,000 individuals turned up as guests at the Soup Kitchen OFM Valletta in 2023, the organisation said on Saturday as it published its figures for the previous year.

The majority of the guests were Maltese (86%) and male (62%) the same report shows.
