The Archbishop to participate in the Bishops’ Synod at the Vatican

Archbishop Charles Scicluna has left Malta this morning to participate in the Bishops’ Synod dedicated to Synodality, which is taking place at the Vatican from the 4th to the 29th October 2023.

Cardinals, bishops, priests, religious and lay people, totaling 464 individuals, will be participating in this Synod, during which the essence of life and the Church’s mission will be discussed. The name of Pope Francis’ next Apostolic Exhortation on the environment will be Laudate Deum, Pope Francis has revealed.

Church schools welcome 20,000 students and educators

Beginning of scholastic year 2022-2023

Church schools have reopened their doors for the new scholastic year, with some 17,000 students and 3,000 educators attending the 55 Church schools at kindergarten, primary, secondary and sixth post-secondary levels. Among these, around 2,000 students and 140 educators who will be entering these schools for the first time.
