Beatification of Pope John Paul II
Benedict XVI bestowed the status of “blessed” on the late John Paul II this morning in Saint Peter’s Square, filled to overflowing as more than one million people took part in the solemn mass.

Men and women of all ages and nationalities have sent personal stories to www.karol-wojtyla.org — a website run by the Diocese of Rome dedicated to the late pope’s beatification and canonization.
