The Council of the Bishops’ Conferences of Europe (CCEE) is turning its focus to the new evangelization, with two meetings on the topic scheduled this month.

On Thursday 16th June, 2011, Archbishop Paul Cremona OP, whilst visiting the patients who are being cared for at Sir Paul Boffa Hospital and the medical staff, encouraged the sick to not give up during times of suffering and whenever they feel alone. A praying couple
Many couples might arrive to their wedding day without ever having prayed together, but Benedict XVI is urging spouses to join together in prayer so that their love can be “ever truer and lasting.”

The global issue of unemployment points to a structural problem that was identified well before the onset of the world financial crisis, according to the Holy See. But its consequence is a scenario that “we must do our very best to avoid.”

Violence and more attacks
As the situation in Syria drags on, it could be that fewer and fewer people have hope in dialogue, but the Vatican continues to call for it, saying it’s the solution to the conflict.
