THE ATTITUDE OF MANY MALTESE TOWARDS THE IMMIGRANTS’ TRAGEDY DOES NOT MAKE SENSE

“Xi minn daqqiet, tingħata l-impressjoni li l-bniedem irid jagħmel bħal Pilatu u jaħsel idejh mill-immigranti li qed ifittxu li jaħarbu mill-Afrika ta’ Fuq.

“L-atteġġjament ta’ ħafna Maltin quddiem it-traġedja tal-immigranti ma jagħmilx sens, l-iktar meta wieħed iqis li li kieku ‘nqatlu’ xi tajr, ġustament kien isir plejtu; imbagħad, ‘jinqatlu’ dawn il-persuni kollha, u nibqgħu siekta!”

Hekk qal lil IL-ĠENSillum online l-Isqof ta’ Għawdex, Mons Mario Grech, b’reazzjoni għat-traġedji li seħħew fil-jiem li għaddew fiċ-ċentru tal-Mediterran, u fid-dawl ta’ stqarrija li ħarġu iktar kmieni din il-ġimgħa l-Isqfijiet Ewropej dwar il-ħtieġa ta’ għajnuna għal refuġjati li qed jaħarbu mill-Afrika… Read more »
