On Monday 23rd April 2012, Archbishop Paul Cremona O.P. met the Liturgical Commission of Vittoriosa. Later on,the Archbishop met the Parish Pastoral Council and the Parish Economical Council of the same parish.

The Office of Liturgical Celebrations of the Supreme Pontiff today published the calendar of celebrations due to be presided by the Holy Father between April and June.

On Saturday 21st April 2012, Archbishop Paul Cremona O.P. celebrated Mass at Birgu parish church, as his official opening to his pastoral visit in the parish, and later met with the people.

Saturday April 21 – The sixth edition of the World Youth Day Song Contest was held in the Attard Parish auditorium. Eight local Christian bands performed live original songs to a sold-out auditorium. The theme of this year’s contest was: “Rejoice in the Lord, Always.” (Phil 4,4)

Pope Benedict XVI
Our ability to recognize the Risen Lord through His Word and in the Eucharist was the focus of Pope Benedict XVI’s Regina Caeli reflections this third Sunday of Easter. Speaking in French he said in the same way the Risen Jesus appeared among the apostles, still today “the Savior assures us of his real presence among us through the Word and the Eucharist” and just as “He gave peace “to the disciples, “He is still gifting us His peace and opens up life to happiness and invites us to become His witnesses to the ends of the earth, in our world marked by evil and suffering, pain and fear”… Read more »
Archbishop Paul Cremona O.P. has appointed Fr Gordon Refalo as the new parish priest of Luqa (St. Andrew).
Fr Gordon was born in Sliema in 1961. He received his education at the Sisters of St Joseph and at St Aloysius College, Birkirkara. In 1984 he entered the Archbishop’s Seminary and was ordained to the priesthood in 1991.
Fr Gordon was first appointed assistant parish priest of Hamrun (St Gajetan) and served in Naxxar parish… Read more »
