Pope in audience

During his general audience this morning the Holy Father dedicated his catechesis to Psalm 126 which, he said, “celebrates the great things which the Lord has done for His people, and which He continues to do for all believers”.
The Psalm “speaks of ‘restored fortunes’”, the Pope explained, “in other words, fortunes restored to their original state”. One of the branches of the social work of the Church is the service it offers among the elderly, a service which is subsidized considerably. The Church has under its direct responsibility five homes in which 303 persons reside. Besides these homes, there are nine others which are run by members of religious orders and which house 359 residents.

On Saturday 8th October 2011, Archbishop Paul Cremona O.P. visited the community of the Sisters of St. Joseph of the Apparition in Rabat as part of his pastoral visit. Later on, the Archbishop celebrated Mass at St Dominic’s church, he then met with the people of the parish and after wards dined with the community.

Fr Borg twieled Ħal Qormi (Parroċċa San Bastjan) nhar is-7 ta’ Frar 1943. Irċieva l-edukazzjoni tiegħu fl-iskola primarja ta’ San Ġorġ, Ħal Qormi u fis-Seminarju Minuri. F’Ottubru tal-1962 beda l-kors tal-Filosofija u t-Teoloġija fl-Università ta’ Malta u ġie ordnat saċerdot fl-1970.
