On Wednesday 16th November 2011, Archbishop Paul Cremona O.P. celebrated Mass at St. John’s CoCathedral, Valletta, for University students graduating this year. Made public today was the following communique from the Secretariat of State concerning a commercial advertising campaign which makes inappropriate use of an image of the Holy Father.

“The Secretariat of State has authorised its lawyers to initiate actions, in Italy and elsewhere, to prevent the circulation, via the mass media and in other ways, of a photomontage used in a Benetton advertising campaign in which the Holy Father appears in a way considered to be harmful, not only to the dignity of the Pope and the Catholic Church, but also to the sensibility of believers”… Read more »

On Tuesday 15th November 2011, Archbishop Paul Cremona O.P. gave the ministry of the Lectorate and the Accolitate to three seminarians during a celebration held at the Parish Church of Zurrieq. Leonard Mintoff was given the ministry of the Lectorate, whilst Charlon Muscat and Reuben Vella were given the ministry of the Accolitate.

On Friday 18th November 2011, adolescents, together with the Archbishop, will inaugurate the Christ the King celebrations, during a meeting entitled ‘Meeteen’ which will take place at the Inspire complex in Marsascala between 6.30 p.m. and 9.00 p.m. This year, the theme of this activity is “What is lacking?”; this should help adolescents to focus upon questions concerning their faith.
