Cardinal Joao Braz de Aviz, Prefect of the Congregation for Institutes of Consecrated Life and Societies of Apostolic Life,  will arrive in Malta on Saturday 24th March, on the invitation of the Council of Religious Major Superiors to meet with Maltese and Gozitan religious priests and nuns. The texts for meditation during this year’s Way of the Cross, to be held at the Colosseum on Good Friday, have, by order of the Holy Father, been written by Danilo and Anna Maria Zanzucchi, a married couple and founders of the New Families Movement, which is part of the “Focolari” Movement.

Cardinal Secretary of State Tarcisio Bertone S.D.B. and Archbishop Angelo Becciu, substitute for General Affairs, presented the Holy Father with the 2012 edition of the “Annuario Pontificio” or pontifical yearbook, and the “Annuarium Statisticum Ecclesiae”. Also present were the officials responsible for compiling and printing the volumes.
