On Saturday 28th January 2012, at 10.00 a.m., Professor Sante Guido will be delivering a lecture at Palazzo de Piro, Mdina, on the recently discovered wax reliefs by Melchiorre Gafá. This is an opportunity to study the insights of the most prolific Maltese sculptor of the Roman Baroque period.

Il-Gvern u l-komunità tas-Sależjani ffirmaw ftehim li permezz tiegħu l-iskola ta’ St Patrick f’Tas-Sliema, li hi mmexxija mis-Sależjani, tibqa’ tipprovdi edukazzjoni u servizz residenzjali lil numru ta’ tfal u żgħażagħ vulnerabbli minħabba s-sitwazzjoni fil-familja tagħhom. On Monday 23rd January 2012, Archbishop Paul Cremona O.P. met the Youth and Adolescent Commission at the Parish Centre in San Gwann. The Archbishop also met the Preteens and the Youth (18+) at the Parish Centre.

On Monday 23rd January 2012, Archbishop Paul Cremona O.P. met with children who attend catechism at the ‘Gesu il-Habib tat-Tfal’ Centre in San Gwann, as part of his pastoral visit to the parish. Later on, the Archbishop met the catechists at the Parish Centre.

On Sunday 22nd January 2012, Archbishop Paul Cremona O.P. celebrated Mass at the parish centre in Taz-Zwejt and afterwards met with the people. Later on, the Archbishop met with members of Civil Society.

On Saturday 21st January 2012, Archbishop Paul Cremona O.P. visited the Franciscan Sisters in San Gwann, as part of his pastoral visit to the parish. Later on, the Archbishop celebrated Mass as the official opening of his pastoral visit to the parish and afterwards met with the people.

March for Life in Washington
Tens of thousands of pro-lifers marched to the American Supreme Court yesterday to mark the 39th anniversary of the Roe v. Wade decision that legalised abortion throughout the United States. The “March for Life” has been held every year since 1974, a year after the landmark Supreme Court ruling.
