NATIONAL VIA CRUCIS IN MARSA

On Wednesday 4th April 2012, Archbishop Paul Cremona O.P. led the national Via Crucis which started at the Marsa Open Centre and continued in Marsa parish church (Holy Trinity) due to unexpected downpours. Hundreds of people, including immigrants, participated. The theme selected for this year was ‘Jesus and the Refugee on the Way of the Cross’.

POPE PRAYING FOR VOCATIONS IN APRIL

Benedict XVI is praying this month for an increase in vocations to the priesthood and religious life.

The Apostleship of Prayer announced the intentions chosen by the Pope for April.

His general intention is “that many young people may hear the call of Christ and follow him in the priesthood and religious life.”

And the Pontiff’s mission intention is “that the risen Christ may be a sign of certain hope for the men and women of the African continent.”

Church celebrates faith of the young

Palm Sunday, April 1 2012 – The Day of Youth was celebrated across Catholic dioceses around the world. The Church in Malta too marked the occasion during youth masses over the weekend, highlighting the faith of the young.
