LITURGICAL CELEBRATIONS TO BE PRESIDED BY THE POPE BETWEEN APRIL AND JUNE

The Office of Liturgical Celebrations of the Supreme Pontiff today published the calendar of celebrations due to be presided by the Holy Father between April and June.

WYD Song Contest 2012

Saturday April 21 – The sixth edition of the World Youth Day Song Contest was held in the Attard Parish auditorium. Eight local Christian bands performed live original songs to a sold-out auditorium. The theme of this year’s contest was: “Rejoice in the Lord, Always.” (Phil 4,4)

RECOGNISING THE RISEN LORD

Our ability to recognize the Risen Lord through His Word and in the Eucharist was the focus of Pope Benedict XVI’s Regina Caeli reflections this third Sunday of Easter. NEW PARISH PRIEST FOR LUQA PARISH

Archbishop Paul Cremona O.P. has appointed Fr Gordon Refalo as the new parish priest of Luqa (St. Andrew).

Fr Gordon was born in Sliema in 1961. He received his education at the Sisters of St Joseph and at St Aloysius College, Birkirkara. In 1984 he entered the Archbishop’s Seminary and was ordained to the priesthood in 1991.
