L-Arċisqof Pawlu Cremona O.P. ħatar lil Dun David Gauci bħala Arċipriet tal-parroċċa Marija Bambina, in-Naxxar.

Dun David Gauci twieled fit-2 ta’ Marzu 1965. Huwa rċieva l-edukazzjoni primarja u sekondarja fl-iskola St Monica u fis-Seminarju Minuri, Tal-Virtù, u l-edukazzjoni post-sekondarja fil-Kulleġġ Stella Maris, il-Gżira. Kompla l-istudju terzjarji (Filosofija u Teoloġija) fil-Fakultà tat-Teoloġija fl-Università ta’ Malta.

Dun David ġie ordnat saċerdot fit-8 ta’ Lulju 1994…

Dun John Curmi twieled fl-24 ta’ Settembru 1956. Huwa ġie ordnat saċerdot fis-7 ta’ Lulju 1985. Il-ħidma pastorali tiegħu kienet tinkludi ħidma fil-parroċċa ta’ Ħal Kirkop, u fil-Kulleġġ Malti tal-Arti, ix-Xjenza u t-Teknoloġija (l-MCAST) fejn kien chaplain għal dawn l-aħħar sitt snin…

The mid-term report, issued by bishops at the Synod is a “work in progress” and not a definitive document of Church teaching on family life. That was the message underlined by two Synod Fathers joining the head of the Holy See press office, Fr Federico Lombardi and his assistants, at the daily briefing for journalists on Tuesday. As discussion at the Extraordinary Synod of Bishops on the Family got underway Monday morning, it was announced that the second phase of this process – next year’s Ordinary Synod – will be held October 4-25, 2015, and will have theme: The vocation and mission of the family in the church and the modern world.
Following the announcement the General Rapporteur, Cardinal Peter Erdő, presented the mid-term report outlining the main questions highlighted over the past week of General Congregations which will now be examined in by the bishops, fraternal delegates, auditors and experts in the ‘minor circles’ or small working groups…

Participants of the extraordinary Synod for the Family took a pause at the end of their first week of work Saturday. In speeches from seven fraternal Delegates from different Christian confessions Friday afternoon, the synod fathers heard that all Christian families share the same challenges and hopes. In a briefing for journalists Saturday, the Holy See’s press spokesman, Jesuit Father Federico Lombardi said that the eighth fraternal delegate, Metropolitan Hilarion, representing the Patriarchate of Moscow is expected to deliver his address to synod participants in the coming days.
Saturday is a day off for the synod fathers as the synod relators and special secretary work on the Relatio Synodali to be published Monday, and which will present the topics that will be under discussion in the working groups next week…
