The prayer to Our Lady of Lourdes, Act of Entrustment to Our Lady of Lourdes, was translated into Maltese by Michael Caruana. The prayer was printed on the back of a prayer card with the image of Our Lady of Lourdes and is being distributed by the Sanctuary’s information centre in Lourdes.
Michael Caruana, author of the book “Pass, Pass f’Lourdes fil-Madwar” – a collection of information and experiences, and tour leader of pilgrimages to Lourdes since 1988, translated this prayer to Maltese and was printed on the back of a prayer card… Read more »
As part of recent spiritual discussions, and considering the horrific and continuous acts, One Church One Journey will host a session to address the trauma of femicide.
Beyond the politics and cultural issues, femicide deeply wounds us and threatens to numb our spirits. We need psychological and spiritual strength to protect ourselves from the subtle, pervasive effects while recognising the harm. In commemoration of the 50th anniversary of Bishop Emmanuel Galea’s death two masses will be celebrated this week by the Bishops of Malta.
Mons. Emmanuel Galea was born on 10th March 1891. He studied at the University of Malta and was ordained priest on 18th December 1915.
In 1917 he was appointed Canon Theologist of the Collegiate of Senglea, where he continued to serve until 1932 when he was appointed Canon of the Cathedral of Malta… Read more »

Following probe, the Vatican’s Dicastery for Consecrated Life expels Luis Fernando Figari, the founder of Peru’s Sodalitium religious movement, who had already, years ago, been removed from the movement that he had established in the 1970s, due to accusations of psychological and sexual abuse, including against minors, and for financial irregularities.
Luis Fernando Figari, founder of the Peruvian apostolic society Sodalitium Christianae Vitae (SVC), more commonly known as Sodalicio, ends with a measure by the Holy See, expelling him from the movement he himself created.

The Church in Malta and Gozo are launching a Maltese version of the official hymn for the 2025 Jubilee with the theme, ‘Pilgrims of Hope’. Next year, the Church and Catholics from around the world are called to be a source of hope, unity and compassion within their communities.
The hymn was originally written in Italian by Prof. Pierangelo Sequeri, with the music composition by Maestro Francesco Meneghello, tackling themes such as creation, fraternity, the goodness of God and hope… Read more »
