At the Angelus on Sunday, Pope Francis welcomed the children of Rome for the traditional “Bambinelli Blessing.” On Gaudete Sunday, the Third Sunday of Lent, Roman boys and girls bring the baby Jesus from their Nativity sets to Saint Peter’s Square to be blessed by the Pope.
Speaking after the Angelus prayer, the Holy Father thanked the children for coming, and wished them a happy Christmas…

The Holy Father told the thousands of faithful present that he wanted to share with them what took place and what the Synod has produced. He continued saying, that during this time there was much media attention on the work being done at the Synod and for that the Pope expressed his thanks…

Scicluna iċċelebra Quddiesa għall-istudenti fl-iskejjel primarji u sekondarji tal-Knisja, tal-Istat u indipendenti, fil-ftuħ tal-kampanja Milied Flimkien. Għal din il-Quddiesa kienet preżenti l-President ta’ Malta u s-Sur Preca. Fi tmiem il-Quddiesa, il-President laqgħet id-donazzjonijiet għal din il-kampanja, mir-rappreżentanti tal-iskejjel.

The joy of the Church is to be a mother, to go out and seek the lost sheep. That was the message of Pope Francis during Tuesday’s morning Mass at the Casa Santa Marta. The Pope said that the Church does not need to have “a perfect organizational chart” if that would make her sorrowful and closed on herself, if that would make her “not a mother.” He then invited his listeners to be “joyful Christians,” with the “consolation of the tenderness of Jesus.”
“Open the doors to the consolation of the Lord.” In this passage, which served as the starting point for the Pope’s homily, Isaiah is speaking about the end of the tribulation of Israel after the Babylonian exile…
