Pope Francis urges young Cubans to keep hope alive

Pope Francis on Sunday urged young Cubans to follow a path of hope, built on solidarity and encounter with others. The Pope’s words came in a meeting with several thousand young students gathered at the Fr Felix Varela cultural centre in Havana at the end of his first full day in the Cuban capital. The Church Schools Association (CSA) deplores the way that the MUT expressed its opinion regarding recruitment of staff in Church Schools by using sweeping statements and ignoring the procedures as advocated in the agreement between the Church Authorities and the MUT for teaching grades in Church School (2011, section C paragraph 3 on Grievance Procedure).
