  • Il-Ħadd 7 ta’ Ġunju 2015, l-Arċisqof iċċelebra Quddiesa Pontifikali fil-festa Solenni tal-Ġisem u d-Demm Imqaddes ta’ Kristu (Corpus Domini), fil-Konkatidral ta’ San Ġwann, il-Belt Valletta. Wara l-Quddiesa huwa mexxa purċissjoni qasira bl-Ewkaristija Mqaddsa.

Pope: Become artisans of peace in your daily lives

  • Pope Francis has called on all men and women to become “artisans of peace” in living out their daily lives. During his homily as he celebrated Mass at Sarajevo’s “Kosevo Stadium” in the the presence of over 65,000 people, the Pope’s cry for peace echoed forcefully: “war never again!” In a city which has known the abyss of pain and suffering inflicted by war, the Pope turned his thoughts to the many armed conflicts presently affecting our world and said “they are a kind of third world war being fought piecemeal, and – he said – in the context of global communications we sense an atmosphere of war”…

Publication of the Encyclical Laudato Sii

    • The new Enyclical Laudato Sii (Praised Be) by Pope Francis is going to be published on Thursday 18th June 2015. The Encyclical’s title is an expression taken from St. Francis of Assisi’s “Canticle of the Sun” prayer, praising God for creation.

Caritas Malta: €67,762 collected in aid of Nepal earthquake survivors

  • Caritas Malta tixtieq tieħu l-opportunità u tirringrazzja lill-poplu Malti u Għawdxi tas-solidarjetà li wera mal-vittmi tan-Nepal wara t-traġedja tat-terremot. Is-somma miġbura hija ta’ €67,762. Din is-somma se tintbagħat lill-Caritas Internationalis u l-flus se jintużaw fi proġetti flimkien ma’Caritas Nepal.

    Caritas Internationalis tirrifletti l-missjoni soċjali u l-valuri tal-Knisja Kattolika. Xahar wara t-traġedja, Caritas Internationalis għenet madwar 104,975 persuna li jammontaw ċirka ta’ 21,000 familja, inklużi wkoll żoni rurali…
