Pope Francis to new Archbishops: be true witnesses

  • On Monday 29th June 2015, Pope Francis delivered the homily at Mass celebrated in St. Peter’s Basilica on Monday, the Solemnity of Saints Peter and Paul, Patrons of Rome. The Mass also saw the ceremonial gift of the Pallium – the peculiar sign of the office of a Metropolitan Archbishop. Archbishop Charles J. Scicluna received the pallium with other Archbishops.

The Pope to families: children are traumatized by parent breakups

  • The self-inflicted wounds of the family and the need to put aside anger and friction to protect the couple’s children were at the heart of Pope Francis’ message to thousands of pilgrims gathered for the weekly General Audience on Wednesday.
