Pope: Become artisans of peace in your daily lives

Pope Francis has called on all men and women to become “artisans of peace” in living out their daily lives. During his homily as he celebrated Mass at Sarajevo’s “Kosevo Stadium” in the the presence of over 65,000 people, the Pope’s cry for peace echoed forcefully: “war never again!” In a city which has known the abyss of pain and suffering inflicted by war, the Pope turned his thoughts to the many armed conflicts presently affecting our world and said “they are a kind of third world war being fought piecemeal, and – he said – in the context of global communications we sense an atmosphere of war”…

- The new Enyclical Laudato Sii (Praised Be) by Pope Francis is going to be published on Thursday 18th June 2015. The Encyclical’s title is an expression taken from St. Francis of Assisi’s “Canticle of the Sun” prayer, praising God for creation.

Din is-somma se tintbagħat lill-Caritas Internationalis u l-flus se jintużaw fi proġetti flimkien ma’Caritas Nepal.

Caritas Internationalis tirrifletti l-missjoni soċjali u l-valuri tal-Knisja Kattolika. Xahar wara t-traġedja, Caritas Internationalis għenet madwar 104,975 persuna li jammontaw ċirka ta’ 21,000 familja, inklużi wkoll żoni rurali…

The Pope’s Evangelization prayer intention for the month of June is Vocations: That the personal encounter with Jesus may arouse in many young people the desire to offer their own lives in priesthood or consecrated life.

Just as marriage is not a career but a vocation, so too is the priesthood and the consecrated life. And just as marriage begins with an encounter that leads to a total gift of oneself to the other, so it is the same for those called to be priests, sisters, and brothers…
